The company's owners, AT&T, have done the expected and for the third straight time extended the offer on a free 32GB version of the Apple TV 4K Apple watch simulator home screen. with a new, three-month prepaid subscription now through May.
AT&T confirmed the offers extension and its details in an email Sunday to members of its advertising affiliate program, obtained by BESTAppleTV.com. Some websites are reporting the current offer to be a previous four-month commitment, which is incorrect.
The offer effectively reduces the price of the Apple TV and three months of service to $105 plus tax with the $35-a-month plan. At present, Apple sells the same model alone for $179 making this deal about $75 cheaper than the full retail price of the hardware alone.
The reduction in the length of the plan makes it $35 cheaper than the original offer from last year that required a four-month prepaid subscription and was reduced to three months in February.
The streaming service's original offer was first introduced last November and was timed to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the service's launch, It was not the first time DirecTV Now has promoted a free Apple TV. It did the same in November of 2016 when the service debuted.
DirecTV Now is the only live streaming service offering an Apple TV unit and service in a bundled offer. Other services, including DirecTV Now, offer Roku devices.
DirecTV Now launched in November of 2016 using the Apple TV app with an entry-level package price of $35 per month for over 60 channels.

Well…here we go again.
According to a report at Cord Cutter News, DirecTV is again extended the offer, keeping it active now since it first appeared nearly seven months ago. Starting Saturday, June 9th, however, the terms will flip back to a four-month prepaid subscription in order to receive the free Apple TV unit. This is in line with the original offer, which was reduced to three months in February and has sat there since then.
In other words, if you subscribe to DirecTV Now today, you'll in effect be getting a 32GB Apple TV 4K for $105 along with three months of DirecTV Now's basic 'Live a Little' package at $35/month. Starting tomorrow, that same Apple TV will cost you $140 with four months of DirecTV Now service.

If you're not happy, however (and judging from the comments we continue to receive, not everyone is), the three-month term allows you to bail a month earlier.
